We are delighted to announce that Rebecca Knight has become an owner of Wendy Hopkins Family Law Practice.
After obtaining her law degree from Swansea University in 2010, Rebecca pursued the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Cardiff Law School (Cardiff University), graduating in 2011. She began her career with us as a Paralegal that same year and quickly established herself as a vital part of our team. Three years later, in 2014, she qualified as a Solicitor.
Since then, Rebecca has continually excelled. She regularly represents high-profile and high-net-worth clients and has been recognised by the world’s leading independent legal researcher, The Legal 500, since 2017.
In 2017, three years after her qualification, Rebecca was promoted to Associate Solicitor. Following three successful years in this role, we were delighted to invite her to join our board of Directors, leading to another well-deserved promotion. Rebecca is one of three Solicitors (along with Sarah Wyburn and Sam John) within our practice to start in a junior role (Paralegal/Trainee) and progress to Director – which is something we take great pride in.
An expert in her field, Rebecca regularly assists clients with a wide range of family law issues, including divorce, separation, children matters, pre & post marital agreements and surrogacy, among others. Our clients regularly praise Rebecca for her ‘kind and caring’ nature, while also being a ‘straight talker’.
As a firm, we look to the future with great optimism and are confident that Rebecca will bring the same tenacity to her new role as she has to her work as a solicitor.
Rebecca commented, “Becoming an owner of Wendy Hopkins Family Law Practice is an incredible honour and a milestone in my career. From starting at the Firm as a Paralegal, I am proud of my journey with this exceptional team. I look forward to contributing further to the success and growth of the Firm, and would like to thank my colleagues, clients and family for their support over the past 13 years.”
Founding Director, Melanie Hamer commented, ‘’I am delighted that Rebecca has become a fellow shareholder and owner. She thoroughly deserves this. Her father was a successful business man and running a business is part of her DNA. As a co-founder of the Firm at the age of 30 years old, I was part of the first generation of our business. Rebecca is now part of our next generation. Her ownership and involvement will secure the Firm for future generations and maintain our reputation as one of the best and biggest family law teams in the UK.”
