MARIE Curie has joined forces with solicitor firms in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan to offer a Free Will Writing Scheme to people aged 55 years and over.
Representatives from firms including Wendy Hopkins Family Law Practice visited the Marie Curie Cardiff and The Vale Hospice in Penarth earlier this month as part of a partnership to offer the Marie Curie Free Will Writing Scheme.
The initiative, which runs until Thursday, April 30, offers people the opportunity to make or amend a basic Will, with the option to include a gift to support Marie Curie’s work in the future. Gifts in Wills fund the equivalent of one in two Marie Curie Nurses, supporting their work across Wales and in the Cardiff and The Vale Hospice.
Phae Comber-Jones, Legacy Advisor for Marie Curie, said: “Using our free Will writing service will ensure you can get a basic Will written by a solicitor and guarantee that your family, friends and others benefit exactly as you wish.
“Although there is of course no obligation to do so, leaving a gift to Marie Curie in your Will can help ensure that our nurses can continue to provide free care and support to people with a terminal illness, and their families, in Wales.”
