The South Wales Ladies Business Club held its annual Charity Ball on 20th January at the Mercure Holland House Hotel in Cardiff, raising a record-breaking sum in excess of £12,000 for Velindre Cancer Centre.

Guests enjoyed a special balloon raffle, a silent auction and a raffle prize draw, featuring prizes such as a diamond necklace, signed rugby balls from Wales and the Cardiff Blues, signed shirts from Swansea City and Cardiff City, a resort break at Bluestone, hotel stays and rounds of golf, among many others.

The event was the most successful in the Club’s history, and was attended by more than 280 people.

The South Wales Ladies Business Club, of which our Melanie Hamer is a founding member, was started in 2006 to allow likeminded businesswomen in South Wales to network, make new contacts and enjoy some unique occasions, providing a female alternative to traditionally male-dominated networking events.

The Club hosts an exclusive black tie charity ball every January.
