This is a true alternative to the traditional adversarial approach which is often the cause of many negative consequences for those separating, and their children.

    What is One Couple, One Lawyer?

    The collaborative approach

    The One Couple, One Lawyer divorce and separation process is an innovative approach where the same lawyer can advise and support both parties. One Couple, One Lawyer is not limited strictly to divorce matters; it can be used for both financial and child-related issues.

    This service won’t be suitable for all separating couples. For it to be a success, couples must maintain a high level of trust, co-operation and agreement. Circumstances where there have been concerns of domestic abuse, a significant power imbalance, a lack of trust or an unwillingness to negotiate, are simply not suitable. Before commencing the process, we will meet with both parties individually, to ensure you understand precisely what this process involves, and to satisfy ourselves that your specific situation is suitable.

    Collaborative: The One Couple, One Lawyer process encourages an amicable and collaborative atmosphere, which aims to reduce conflict and acrimony.
