We are delighted to announce that Caitlin Evans has today qualified as a Solicitor, following the completion of her SQE1 and SQE2 and qualifying work experience with the Firm.

Originally from Dinas Powys, Caitlin graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Exeter in 2023. She subsequently completed the Legal Practice (SQE1&2) at The University of Law and is also completing her Masters of Law.

Caitlin joined the Firm as a Paralegal in January 2024. Having quickly established herself as a valuable member of the team, she was promoted to Trainee Solicitor in May 2025.

Throughout her period of training, Caitlin has consistently exhibited exceptional legal knowledge, balanced with the empathy and strong interpersonal skills required for success within family law. Working alongside our established solicitors, she has accumulated extensive practical experience, including attending Court, drafting formal legal documentation and managing communications with clients and third parties. Notably, in 2024, Caitlin assisted lead lawyer Sam John on the reported case, ‘Child A and B, Re [2024] EWFC 284 (B)’.

We have no doubt that Caitlin will continue to excel in her new role as a practicing family lawyer and remain a key asset to our team. We look forward to supporting her ongoing professional development throughout what promises to be a very bright career.

Caitlin commented, “I cannot quite believe that I am now a qualified Solicitor and it will certainly take some time to sink in. I am so grateful to everyone at Wendy Hopkins Family Law Practice who has supported me along the way. I am very excited for this new chapter and look forward to continuing to grow with the Firm.”

Director, Sam John, commented, “We are all extremely proud of Caitlin for passing SQE1 and SQE2. She is the first of our trainees to qualify via the SQE route and this is testament to her hard work and dedication. Caitlin is a very valued member of the team and will no doubt continue to excel as a Solicitor.”

Congratulations, Caitlin!
